Where Our APR Range Sits

APR, the annual percentage rate, combines interest and most required fees into a single yearly rate, which makes it the fairest way to compare loans. Lenders in our network stay under 36%, the ceiling many consumer advocates and the federal Military Lending Act use for affordable credit.

Fees a Lender May Charge

Fees are set by each lender within the limits of state law, and every fee must appear in your loan agreement before you sign.

Origination fee

A one-time processing fee, often deducted from the amount you receive. It's included in the APR.

Late fee

Charged if a payment arrives after the due date or grace period, where state law allows.

Returned payment fee

Charged if a scheduled payment is returned for insufficient funds. Your bank may charge its own fee too.

If You Miss a Payment

Missing a payment can lead to late or returned-payment fees as allowed by your agreement and state law, collection activity, and negative reports to credit bureaus that may lower your credit score. Renewal and extension policies vary by lender and are explained in your agreement.

  1. Contact your lender before the due date. Many can move a date or set up a payment plan.
  2. Ask what fees apply and how a change affects your total cost.
  3. Get any new arrangement in writing.

mobiloans doesn't service loans or take part in collections. Questions about payments go directly to your lender.

Credit Checks, Reporting and States

Credit checks

Lenders may check your credit with one or more consumer reporting agencies, using soft or hard inquiries.

Credit reporting

Many lenders report payment history, so on-time payments may help your credit and late ones may hurt it.

State availability

Loans aren't available in every state, and terms can vary by state law. Check your state.

How we're paid

Lenders pay mobiloans when we connect them with a borrower. You never pay us.

Rates and Terms FAQ

What APR will I get?

Lenders in our network offer APRs from 5.99% to 35.99%. Your rate depends on your credit, income, loan amount, term and state. The lender shows your exact APR before you accept.

Does mobiloans charge any fees?

No. Our service is free for borrowers. Lenders in our network pay us when we connect them with you, and that doesn't change your loan terms.

What fees can a lender charge?

Depending on the lender and your state, fees may include an origination fee (included in the APR), late fees and returned-payment fees. Every fee must be listed in your loan agreement.

Can I renew or extend my loan?

Renewal and extension policies vary by lender and state. Your loan agreement explains whether renewals are allowed and what they cost. Contact your lender before your due date if you need help.
